Leaving Isla Floreana after a few quiet, relaxing days. It is a beautiful little stop, the kind that rewards slowing down and not insisting on a schedule. I spent most of my time hiking the trails, swimming in clear water, and taking photos of scenery and wildlife that obligingly held still long enough to be photographed.

I have not been sleeping all that well the last couple of nights, so I decided to get an early start on the run toward San Cristóbal. About ten hours, conditions look reasonable, and it feels like the right time to move on. The next island is waiting, and so is a friend with a replacement chart plotter.
