I had noticed a lot more bird activity today, then I started seeing those circular boils of small fish jumping at the surface. Shortly after lunch I looked off the back of the boat and discovered I had hooked one on a hand line. A beautiful yellowtail tuna, easily enough to feed four people. I do not need the meat at the moment, so I let it go. Nice to know the fishing gear works. I caught this on a hand line, fifty or sixty feet behind the boat, while sailing.
Next one I will clean and put in the freezer. I am sure I can share some out in Ensenada when I get there.
