Put the red gennaker up, affectionately known as Kalidog after a beautiful hound dog. The wind was sitting at seven to eight knots and we were getting four to five over the ground. Since then it has filled in to fifteen to twenty, and we are now averaging eight. Let the games begin. The sail seems to be trimmed nicely, so it has been great sailing.
Managed to get a sun shot on the sextant, although I am not entirely convinced of its accuracy. It is tricky to read the angle and catch the time off the clock when the boat is bouncing around enough to make both jobs harder than they sound.
