Just dropped the anchor in Puerto Ayora. Now to tidy up and get ready for customs clearance, which has its own ritual no matter how long you have been at sea. Pretty tired. It was a long night out there, gentle seas but a surprising amount of traffic for a stretch of ocean that had felt empty for days.
The solo equator party last night was, by reasonable standards, good fun. Crossing the line is the kind of thing you mark however you can manage on a one-person crew, and we managed. Today is a slower-paced kind of day. The boat is at anchor, the harbour is quiet, and the next leg is finally somebody else's problem for a little while.
