Had a moment today. Heard a loud bang that did not sound right at all. For a second I thought something significant had given up, so I went up to check. Turned out the anchor had broken loose and was hitting the side of the boat. It must have been at it for a little while because it was making a pretty solid impact each time.

Got it under control and secured again. Took some effort with the boat moving, but manageable. I was lucky it did not do any real damage. Could have been a lot worse if it had hit in the wrong spot or kept at it. Everything looks okay for now, but I will take a closer look and deal with any repairs once I am in. Good reminder to double-check anything that can move.
