Looks like a good morning out here. The night went well. Quiet, steady, and uneventful in the best possible sense. At one point I had to fire the engine up for a while, since the sails were not feeling motivated in five knots, and were hanging limp like they had something better to be doing. Sometime in the dark a squall rolled through and gave the boat a proper rinse, like nature's version of a wash-down. There is always a mix of chaos and beauty when those pass through.

And somewhere along the way, a couple of pieces of calamari arrived on the deck. I am still not entirely sure how that worked logistically, but I am taking it as a small unscheduled gift from the ocean.

The day's agenda is a mix of boat life and real life: shave, because there are actual meetings involved; eat something decent; fix the radar; sort out the wind indicator; and jump into a few scheduled online calls. Funny how even out here, in the middle of nowhere, the regular world finds a way to check in. All in all, calm seas, a clean boat, and a productive day ahead. Not a bad way to start a morning.
